Raspberry Pi Build HAT Kit In this kit you will find the basic products you will need to start using Build HAT with Raspberry Pi. Package Contents 1x Raspberry Pi Build HAT 1x Raspberry Pi Build HAT Power Supply 1x Raspberry Pi 4 Model B/2GB Raspberry Pi Build HAT The Raspberry Pi Build HAT is an add-on designed in collaboration with LEGO® Education to easily control LEGO® TechnicTM motors and sensors with Raspberry Pi computers. It provides four connections for LEGO Technic motors and sensors from the LEGO® Education SPIKETM range. Available sensors include, distance sensor, color sensor and force sensor. Angle motors come in a range of sizes and include built-in encoders that can be interrogated to find their position. Build HAT fits all Raspberry Pi computers with 40 PINs GPIO header, for Raspberry Pi 400 you will need a ribbon cable or some other extension device. LEGO Technic devices can be easily controlled with Python, alongside classic Raspberry Pi Accessories such as the Raspberry Pi camera. The Raspberry Pi Build HAT power supply , sold separately, is designed to power the Build HAT and Raspberry Pi along with all connected LEGO Technic devices. Specification • Controls up to four LEGO Technic motors and sensors included in the SPIKE Portfolio, along with those from the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Robot Inventor kit and most other LEGO devices that use an LPF2 connector • Fits onto any Raspberry Pi computer with a 40-pin GPIO header • Easy-to-use Python library to control your LEGO Technic devices • Onboard Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller manages low-level control of LEGO Technic devices • DC power connector: 2.1mm barrel jack, center positive • Requires an external 8V ±10% DC power source – like the Raspberry Pi Build HAT Power Supply, or a 7.5V battery pack – to power the Build HAT, Raspberry Pi computer (except Raspberry Pi 400), and connected LEGO Technic devices Raspberry Pi Build HAT Power Supply Power up your Raspberry Pi Build HAT creations with the Official Raspberry Pi Build HAT Power Supply. This 48W power supply will power the LEGO® TechnicTM motors connected to the Build HAT, as well as your Raspberry Pi. Compatible with LEGO Technic motors and sensors included in the LEGO® Education SPIKETM range, the Build HAT combines the power of Raspberry Pi computing with easy LEGO construction to help you make creative and robust projects.
