Freezer 36 - Tested and confirmed by Intel

Intel tested and validated the Freezer 36 on the i9-13900K/KF, i9-14900K/KF, and i9-13900KS in the Enthusiast and Desktop categories. In these tests, Intel examined both contact frame placement and cooler performance.


Future-proofing

Freezer 36 CO is multi-compatible with Intel and AMD sockets. Intel will release the new Arrow Lake processors in the LGA1851 socket in the future. ARCTIC customers do not need to worry that the new processors will require new coolers. We guarantee full compatibility. All Freezer 36 can be used with Intel's new LGA1851 socket without restriction.


Improved fan placement

Thanks to the innovative mounting system, the case fans are effortlessly mounted to the heatsink with a click system. This mounting method eliminates the need for fan clips, making it easier to install the cooler or replace the fans, even if the cooler is already installed. The Freezer 36 CO is therefore compatible with most 120 mm fans.



LGA1851 | LGA1700 Contact Frame

Intel's Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) deforms the CPU by pressing it into the socket at two points with over 40 kg. This causes stress on the board, the DIE and the solder layer between the DIE and the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader). With high thermal load, this can lead to long-term problems. The mounting frame from ARCTIC does not deform the CPU, massively reduces the mechanical load on the CPU, is quick and easy to install and allows the cooler to be screwed onto the CPU backplate. As a result, mechanical stress on the motherboard and CPU is minimized, cooling performance remains stable and installation is quick and simple.


Designed for continuous operation

Both fans of the Freezer 36 CO are equipped with two Japanese ball bearings. This makes these fans particularly durable and resistant to external forces such as heat, dust and vibrations. Therefore, this variant is the ideal choice for 24/7 operation.


Optimized heatsink

The heatsink fins are open on the side, allowing the intake fan to draw additional cool air from the computer case through the heatsink. This side-flow design achieves even more efficient ventilation.


P fans with high static pressure

ARCTIC is based on the proven P fans, which are known for their powerful performance. The P series is particularly suitable for use in heat sinks and radiators. Due to the dense structure of the heat sink fins, the fans used achieve significantly better performance than fans designed for airflow thanks to their high static pressure.
